3D animation is not a simple process,
but the results can be breath taking!
We use a 6 process system in animation. This involves:
- Story boarding. Here the animators and usually also a clinician will work with you to understand what your custom animation is about, the style and detail you want to portrait and approximate length of the animation. They will then brainstorm and come back to you will a quotation and preliminary script.
- Modelling. Everything in a scene needs to be modelled in three diminsions. Here's where our animators lock themselves away and wireframe models of objects in the animation.
- Layering. Every model will then be layered or skinned. This will make the object look similar to what it should be. If this is a face for example, it would need layering with skin and texturing.
- Actual Animation. Here the animator makes the models move according the script.
- Lighting. Like all great photographers, lighting in animation plays a vital role in the final quality of the animation adding realism and vibrancy.
- Rendering. Depending on the length and quality of the animation, this part takes a long time (anything upward from a day)...Our super powerful computers render each frame of the final movie. It's time for the developers to get some sleep!
